First Aid/CPR/AED with optional Bloodborne Pathogen - Training offered by Chemical Distributors, Incorporated
From OSHA compliance to workplace wellness, effective first aid and CPR training is vital to your organization's safety. Our training meets
the requirements of OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.151 and includes:
- 2-year certification through the National Safety Council
- Pediatric and Infant CPR & AED
- Optional offering: Bloodborne/Airborne Pathogen Training to satisfy OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.1030.
- OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030), amended by OSHA and published in January 2001, requires employers to
safeguard employees who face potential occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM). If there
is any chance you might encounter blood or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM), you face significant health risks.
Bloodborne and airborne pathogens commonly found in the U.S. include hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), human
immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and tuberculosis (TB). The National Safety Council's Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens course helps
reduce those risks by focusing on how to protect your employees from blood and airborne pathogens and what to do if an exposure occurs.
Courses may be offered individually or as a package. Our training plan can be customized to meet your needs.

About our trainer:
Cindy Shelton is a certified Associate Safety Professional through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, as well as a Registered Environmental Professional through the National Registry of Environmental Professionals. She is also an authorized trainer for OSHA 10 and 30 hour Training in General Industry. In addition, she holds a Master’s degree from Columbia Southern University in Occupational Safety and Health with a concentration in Environmental Management.
